Essential Oils are natural, aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers and other parts of plants and have been used throughout history in many cultures for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.
I use doTERRAS 100% Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oils. These oils are most often extracted at a low-heat steam distillation process. They do not contain fillers or artificial ingredients that would dilute their active qualities. Modern trends toward holistic approaches to self care and alternative health practices are driving a rediscovery of the profound health benefits of essential oils.
Essential oils are used for a wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. They are administered by one of three methods: diffused aromatically, applied topically to the skin or taken internally as a dietary supplement.
I incorporate these oils into a session to enhance the clients healing experience. The session will start with a citrus oil in your water, from lemon to grapefruit. Depending on your needs, will depend on oils used. Some oils, such as Marjoram and Lemongrass will help release muscle tension and inflammation. Wild Orange will uplift your mood, meanwhile Lavender will relax and calm your nervous system. doTerra makes a variety of blends as well. Balance for instance, will help ground you, while the Elevation (joyful blend) will revitalize you and elevate your mood.
I have been personally using these oils for over seven years now. Within the first month of using the oils, I rolled my ankle. Right after icing it I applied “my salad” I like to call it. Marjoram, Lemongrass and a Blend, Deep Blue. I thought I would be out of work for awhile. But no, absolutely no swelling, no bruising and was at work the following afternoon. Amazing! They have impacted my life: my diet, my skin and my over all attitude and mood. Many claim that they know when I have walked into a room!
